Well its been a few weeks since iv been on here. Not a great deal happening  at the moment. We have a competition at our golf club the Boars Head Golf Centre on a Thursday night that im in with my 3 team mates Olly Noakes,David Evans, and Ross Fetherstone were you have  6 targets 3 balls at each not easy at all. You get 1 point for the closest  ones 2 points for the next one and 3 points next. Not easy at all but doeshelp with your chipping. Then its 18 holes on the putting green all in all its a fun night. The first one we did was last week we drew 3 games and lost 1 so not a bad start. Well for me the golf has not been going to well and I cant seem to put my finger on whats not been going right, but it will all come together again hopfully for  me when my son Tom gets back from uni and we start playing our winter pairs games.Had a day of the golf sun a went to the London golf show which i enjoyed very much had a chat with a couple of people so fingers crossed. On a bit of a sad note i had to go and see the doctor about my good knee now they are sending me to see the specialist on the 28th of this month as it looks as my knee cap  has moved round to the side.Last time it looked like that i had an op on it and spent 2 monthes in hospital so finngers crossed its nothing to bad well thats about it from me let you all no how it gos till then lets hope this weather stays like this and we can all still play golf

Hi everybody well with this weather lets hope your all still out golfing the same as me. Been a funny few weeks for me since I got back from Italy done a bit on our local Radio Uckfield FM, I was also stuggling to hit the ball very well took me a week or so to get back in the swing of it.  But now glad to say my game has picked up again.  In our Wednesday medal and today Sunday I shot gross 82 and 39 points on both days which is quite pleasing.  This week I am starting at the range a bit more.  Also this week I have been for a custom fitting at Direct Golf where I tried out 6 or 7 diffferent sets of clubs and the ones that suited were John Letters T9 plus irons.  Thank you Luke from the Tunbridge Wells store for all your time and patience.  Not a lot more to say really Im am in the middle of having a look at what competions I can do in 2012.  Busy now with the paperwork for next year trying to get sponsorship and media coverage.  Please feel free to leave me a message or your golfing stories as I

Hi everyone and hope you are all well.Last week was an amazing week for me I wemt  play golf in the Italian disabled open in Rapallo all to the kindnes of Birgit Harder her partner William Hennesey, and Birgits boss Micheal from IMSM {   ISO SPECLALLIST SERVICES   }.They sponsored four us to play out there so a big thank you from all of us.
Well where do i start what a lovely place to go and play golf, the hotel was beautiful me and my room mate Big Mal Dalby were on the top floor.Big balcony sun loungers on it over looking the town and the harbour it was just beautiful. The golf course was about 5 mins from the hotel in the middle of a town. Didn't know what to expect well i wasnt quite ready for what i was to be playing for the next three daysit was heaven. The views from every hole were just stunning ,was their a bad hole ?no there wasn't. We had the practice round to get to know the course ready for the next day.I was in cat 2 with 26 other players  and after the first round i was laying in joint 3 with an 88 so i was very pleased with that.  Day two of competitiion im out second to last group in our cat not a good start 5  ;6  ;;7  on my first three holes . I just carried on had 44 front nine an 40 back nine I was happy with that.  The last group came in so we left it ten minutes then went and had a look at score board it was a big surprise i had won the italian disabled open cat 2 by three shots. It was a big hi 5 from my mate Andy Gardiner who had won the net in cat 1.
So all in all a great few days at Rapallo golf and tennis club well done to all the guys Mal ,Bill.Brendon.Andy and of course the main man Willam it was also great to see a lot of people i havant seen for years as well so a BIG well done to everyone that played.

On a bit of a sad note the gents lost to our junors on aturday so well done to them

Sorry this is a bit late this week but I havnt been to well this week and on Monday night I ended up in hospital with my diabetes all over the place. What a great weekend Ive had firstly had to go to Brighton to pick my eldest up Friday night didnt get into bed until 2 Oclock.  Had to be up again at 6 as I was of over to Battle to play in our nine hole league salva. Under the watchful eye of our captain Mick Grombridge we had already come second in the league now onto playing in the salva.  I played with young Max Buckle we call him mad Max sometimes because he is a bit erratic but he played brilliant and we ended up with 37 points. As soon as we finished the golf I had to shoot off to Birmingham so I didnt know the result overall.  Half way there when we stopped for coffee I got a text to say we had won. This was a surprise considering the condition of the golf course.  On to Birmingham we met up with Ian Halliwell and crew ready for Sunday the Frank Worthington golf day at the west Midlands golf course.  Under really windy conditions team TSG under the leadership of Ian we come away with another first place win of 95 points.  For the gala meal team TSG were joined by Eddie Wellbourne 1988 Seoul Olympic Steeplechase runner,.  We enjoyed his company very much especially his caberaet act where he sang for us and did many oncours having everyone on the floor dancing to Elvis.  All in all a brilliant weekend looking foward to club championships this Saturday Keep you posted.

Well we did it.Me and my son Tom played in the pairs final at the Boars head golf centre against a couple of good friends Ian and Ross.  What a great  match we had some great golf all the way through.   Tom put the ball close on the first for a give me and for us to go one up.  Then we were two up, then they came back at us really well to get it all square, then we went one up, two up, three up.  They came back strong again we were two up,one up going up the 18th.  Tom and Ross put there balls in the bunker Ian was pin high off of the green and I was short of the green.  I missed the green with my second shot.  Tom and Ross has two great shots out of the bunker and put their ball 10 ft from the hole.  Ian chipped on and he was 15ft, I chipped on and put my ball close to the hole for a give me for a 4 thinking half this hole and we have won it.   Ross putts and put the ball straight in for a birdie its all square with Tome to putt.  He putts and leaves it short its all square and we go to play the 19th.  Ross and Ian are not on the green, Im short.  Ian chips on short of the hole so does Ross.  Im long with my chip.  Tom putts for a birdie just misses its a give me for the par.  Ian misses his par putt and Ross misses his and YES now me and Tom are the first father and son to win the pairs at Boars Head.  Thank you Tom Ian and Ross for a great match.  Thank you Tom for being my partner.  Just like to wish TSG cpatain mr Ian Halliwell all the best down in Deal at the Peoples Open at Royal St Georges.  Another busy weekend coming up nine hole league salva at Battle golf club then off to Birmingham in the afternoon to play in the Frank Worthington John Lowe charity day on the Sunday.  One again thank you Tom Ian and Ross.
P.S.  I shot my best round of 76 o
