Here we are again folks
Its been a very busy time for me lately I seem to be golf golf golf
but dont tell the wife lol. Last week we went up to Wokefield Park Golf
club near  Reading to play in a disabled blind qualifyer. for the chance
to play in pro am that will be on sky tv.I had 29 points and the
winning score was 35 well done to them.  I spent more time in the
bunkers I think I hit 9 out of 9 on the front it was soul destroying . but we
had a great four ball . A chap I hadn't met before Bernie an ex solider
doing a lot for battle back which I dont know a lot about,, but will let you know
its a bit like help the hereos I think. We also had Ian dixon who I  know, he's
a good laugh, and the one and only William hennesey who just has me
in fits all the time, and thank you Brendon for driving, my turn next mate.

This week is busy as well ,Wednesday Im up at the East Sussex National to do
a bit on the Disabled British Open 2012 with Fergus Bisset from Golf
Monthly and a couple of other disabled guys, should be good.

Then on Friday Im of to play at Bletchingley golf club in surrey in the TSG
golf day championship for the Halliwell cup which is my friend Ians brain
child so for you mate ill try and go one better this year and get that 1ST
place fingers crossed.

Saturday we are in the second round of the East Sussex exclusive cup
against Beauport park at the Boars Head Golfing Centre so we have got
the home advantage so lets hope we can have a good win at home boys.

Well the golfing season is really under way now iv been getting up the
range a couple of times a week then getting on to the putting area,
I do think its helping me a lot.Well last sat the 12th saw the Boars Head
Centre golf team which i was lucky  enough to get in to play in what
we call an Exclusive match. This is for the cat 2 and cat 3 players at the
golf club as the lower handicapers get the chance to play in the pav which
my son Tom plays in, and I usually caddie for him.Anyway back to our game
me and my partner Ray Sargent won our match 5@4 and then we won a
another hole as well to make it 6 holes, as at the end it can all come down
to hole count. At the end of the day we beat them we won all our games bar
one which was a bit of pay back as Littlehamton beat us last year must admit
with out trying to sound big headed I was hitting the ball very well.

Now on to this week our course is a 9 hole course and we also play in a 9
hole league. This week we were at Peacehaven  which is never easy its a tuff
course made worse that it at the top of a hill on the coast and if its windy its
wind. The weather was loveley bit of breeze and sun as my head shows.
To say we got battered isn't the word we lost 5@0  good me and my partner
for the day Dave Heslop lost 4@3 which wasant as bad as what  it could of been
as we was 7 down after 9 so not a good day.

I am captian of the Boars Head Golf Centre pubs and clubs side well i wasn't
there for our monthly game as it was my wife Chris birthday but my well trusted
team of Mick,Ray,Bill and andy done me proud by winning our 1st match lets
do the same next month well done lads.

Hope everbody is well in this wet weather and you are managaing to
get out and have a knock. We had our monthly medal on Saturday I was a bit
excited as I had put a lot of work in up the range and on the putting
green.  I was looking foward to putting all that practice to the test well
it didnt start well, we started on the 9th tee I hit my drive straight up the middle.
When we got there we couldnt find it think it was plugged somewere it was that
wet out there. Came away with a 7 not a good start. I go on to put a 9 and
another 7 and come off the course with an 88 net 72 and came 3rd so all in
all I was pleased how it went apart from 3 holes. Well back up the range now
im going away from my golf now to do some plugs for some very good friends
of mine if you dont mind but please carry on reading.
